Shadia Dahlal formed the PURPLE ROSES OF CAIRO, a Middle Eastern dance company, in the spring of 1996. They originally started as a group of students that performed American Tribal style. Over the years, they incorporated authentic Egyptian, Arabic and Turkish styles.
The PURPLE ROSES have set the standard for professional Middle Eastern dance companies in northeastern Oklahoma. No other dance company in the area has received the critical acclaim and public accolades accorded the ROSES in the last few years.
Shadia Dahlal and the PURPLE ROSES OF CAIRO can be booked for any family-oriented event, such as weddings, birthdays, or other parties. They also perform at festivals (Mayfest, Oktoberfest, etc.) and Renaissance Fairs.
